BUILDING INFORMATION MODELLING
BIM (Building Information Modeling) is a collaborative work methodology that uses a three-dimensional digital model for the design, construction and management of buildings and infrastructures. Our team of expert engineers are at the forefront of using the methodology and in 2017 the 9th edition of Tekla BIM Awards Italia saw the award of the best BIM models made by Italian customers with the use of Tekla Structures among these Bonifica won the prize thanks to Viaduct Santa Giulia «via Cassia» – Rome.
The BIM model, created through the use of specialized software, contains geometric, functional and temporal information that allows the behaviour of the building or infrastructure to be simulated and analyzed in each phase of its life cycle, from design to demolition. It can be used for the management and maintenance of buildings and infrastructures, providing detailed information on the characteristics and performance of the elements that compose them.
